Weybridge Lodge Worshipful Masters - Roll of Honour

There is no greater honour as a Freemason than being chosen to be the Worshipful Master (Master of the Lodge). This position has not come lightly as you would have spent at least six years performing other roles of the lodge in order to take on the Chair.

You now have two key roles; to instruct and lead the Brethren of the Lodge through their Masonic journey and also to run the meetings held in the Temple The meetings have a two-fold nature, the first is administrative (just as a chairman of a committee would work) whilst the second is the actual ritual itself; for it is the Worshipful Master who conducts the ceremonies and is responsible for Initiating, Passing and Raising the members through their three degrees of Freemasonry.

Externally, you are the face of the Lodge and the Lodge is judged on how well you manage it. You select a key charity for the year that the members will concentrate their efforts on and you hope that by the end of your tenure, the Lodge has grown in numbers.

So, being the Worshipful Master is a very important role in each Masonic Lodge and we celebrate our past Masters of Weybridge Lodge from the very beginning back in 1949 to present day below.
